Lee Shin Cheng is a renowned Korean entrepreneur and the founder of IOI Corporation. He was born in 1939.

After graduating from the Korean National University of Agriculture in 1962, he started his career as a farm manager in a plantation.

In 1969, he founded IOI Corporation, a palm oil and rubber producer, which has since grown to become one of the largest companies in Korea.

In 1985, Lee Shin Cheng was appointed as the Chairman of IOI Corporation and since then, the company has become a global leader in the palm oil industry.

In 1995, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Korean Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation and also served as the Chairman of the Seoul Olympic Committee in 2000.

Lee Shin Cheng is known for his philanthropic activities, donating millions of dollars to various charities and foundations throughout his lifetime.

He has been awarded numerous honors and awards, including the Order of Civil Merit, the Order of Service Merit, the Order of Industrial Service Merit, and the Order of Diplomatic Service Merit.
