Kim Jae-chul (born in 1947) is a Korean entrepreneur, best known as the founder and chairman of Hankook Tire.

After graduating with a degree in business administration from Hanyang University, Jae-chul established Hankook Tire in 1968.

Jae-chul has served as the Chairman of Hankook Tire since its inception and has since expanded the company to become one of the world’s leading tire suppliers.

Under Jae-chul’s leadership, Hankook Tire has seen tremendous growth, increasing production from 8 million tires in 1995 to over 100 million in 2020.

As a result, Hankook Tire has become a global leader in the tire industry, with a presence in over 180 countries.

In recognition of his accomplishments, Jae-chul has been bestowed with numerous awards, including the Order of Merit for National Foundation in South Korea.

In addition, Jae-chul has also been honoured with honorary doctorates from various universities in South Korea and China.
