Chey Tae-won (born in 1960) is a South Korean entrepreneur and the chairman of SK Group, South Korea's third largest conglomerate.

He received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration from Seoul National University in 1983.

He started his career in 1983 at the group's petrochemical company, and rose to the position of president of SK Chemical in 1995.

He became the CEO of SK Corporation in 1998, and was appointed chairman of the group in 1999.

His business accomplishments include successfully restructuring SK's debt-ridden affiliates and investments in China, leading to the group's increased profitability and global presence.

He has also worked to increase the group's focus on innovation and technology, as well as contributing to the development of South Korea's green energy industry.

In 2020, Chey was inducted into the Forbes Asia Business Hall of Fame.
