Takeshi Niinami was born in 1960 in Japan.

He is a Japanese entrepreneur and the current President and CEO of Suntory Group, a Japanese beverage and food company.

Niinami earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration from Hitotsubashi University.

In 2000, he became the President of Lawson convenience store chain, which he successfully led for 11 years.

In 2011, Niinami was appointed as the President and CEO of Suntory Group, a position he still holds today.

Niinami is also the Chairman of the Japan Association of New Economy (JANE).

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group since 2013.
